IMPROVING THE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE BASED ON GENERAL INFORMATION AND SALES STATISTICS
When you view an article on puretaste.fr you will also see other articles that we recommend (e.g. under the heading “Look further” or “Others viewed”). These recommendations are based on the article or category you are currently looking at. Based on statistics, we know that customers who bought that article were also interested in the other articles. These recommendations are not personalized: everyone who looks at that article sees the same recommendations. If you search for a particular comforter cover, everyone sees the same similar covers or fitted sheets. Or we show you what other users were looking for based on your search.
PERSONALIZATION BASED ON YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION AND SEARCH, BROWSING AND PURCHASE HISTORY AT PURETASTE.FR
If we know who you are (that’s when you see your name at the top of the homepage), we can make the store even more personal to you. Just like in your favorite physical store. The sales clerk knows you and can make good recommendations based on your previous purchases and interests.
Just like that sales clerk, we too make recommendations and adapt the store to your preferences. We look at what you previously searched for or bought from us, what’s on your wish list and what interests you showed by viewing certain items or categories in our store. So the book you just bought will not be given as a reading recommendation. Or the content you are less interested in, we then show at the bottom of the website. Based on these data we can also offer you a special discount or a subscription that suits your preferences via e-mail and on the website. We also give you recommendations on our website which products you might need again on the basis of what you have previously purchased, for example toothpaste.
We do this on the basis of your surfing, searching and purchasing behavior. We do not look back more than three years.
We collect your surfing and search behavior based on cookie techniques, your IP address and the unique number that is linked to the mobile device you use to surf.
What we do not do is use this information to show you different prices when you visit puretaste.fr than we do to other customers.
SELF-SET PREFERENCES
There are several places where you can set your own preferences with us. For example, you may want to be kept informed about something or put items on your wish list. You can change or disable these preferences at any time.
