An intense red coloured wine with a purple glow. In the nose, aromas of black fruits such as blackcurrant and blueberry. Floral, spicy and a hint of vanilla. Intense tones in the mouth, juicy and fresh. Black cherries, spices and truffle. Followed by a long intense, powerful aftertaste. Combines well with pastas, white meat dishes as well as desserts with dark fruit and bitter chocolate.

Wines from special vineyards that deliver top quality grapes. The wines are characterised by strength, elegance, balance and well dosed wood maturation with an excellent storage potential.

>> Wine and Spirits magazine: Winery of the year 1999, 2004 & 2008.

Pablo Morandé is one of the founders of modern Chilean viticulture. In service as a winemaker at Concha Y Torro, he discovered the Casa Blanca Valley, north of the capital Santiago, as a very interesting wine region. Pablo Morandé was the first to plant grapevines here.

In 1996, together with a group of friends, he founded Vinã Morandé in this area. In a short time, Vinã Morandé grew into one of the leading wine companies in Chile. Pablo Morandé is still involved in the company as advisor.
The most striking thing about the wines that Morandé makes is the extremely favourable price-quality ratio; every wine offers a great deal of quality for a very favourable price. Not for nothing was the Pionero Merlot in Chile awarded as wine of the decade because of the high quality for a very affordable price!

Sustainability:’Certified sutainable wine of Chile’.
Viña Morandé is very proud to be the first wine company in Chile to obtain the sustainability code ‘Certified sutainable wine of Chile’. Viña Morandé had to meet a number of strict criteria in the area of: Vineyards, winery and community (suppliers, employees, government). The certification is a consequence of the company’s policy to work as sustainably as possible.
